Before You Start – Learning to Avoid Dating Service Scams
Online dating is a HUGE industry. Millions of dollars exchange hands between online daters and online dating sites. As a result, there are TONS of online dating service scams you need to be aware of. Scammers build legitimate-looking dating sites as a way to separate you from your hard earned cash. And they’re VERY good at what they do. So good at it that most people are completely unaware they are being scammed.

Spotting Internet Dating Scams: Signs That Give it Away
Online dating scammers know how to trick people that are new to online dating. Don’t feel dumb just because you are clueless when it comes to online dating service scams. Most people new to online dating have no idea what to look for. That doesn’t mean they are idiots. It just means they haven’t been taught what to look for.
The first thing you should look for is the type of women that appear to be signed up for the site. Do you notice a bunch of pictures of women that appear to be porn stars or have absolutely no physical flaws noticeable? Chances are that site is a scam. Do you really think women that are ridiculously hot would sign-up for an online dating service? Don’t take that the wrong way. Trust us, there are gazillions of very good looking girls online. But if you come across a site filled with “perfect” women, it’s a scam. No doubt about it.
There are a few other less common Internet dating scams, but the other main scam involves “professionals”. Professionals are women that seek out men to have sex with for money. In other words, they’re Hookers. Or “Escorts”, as they like to be referred to as. They don’t promote themselves as Escorts online. They wait until they meet you to bust out the, “I’ll have sex with you for $100” line. The best way to spot an Escort is if her profile mentions very little about herself and mostly about what she can do to satisfy YOU sexually. If she’s all about YOU, she’s really all about YOUR MONEY.
One additional scam that isn’t very common, but can financially harm you is the “Need Money for Travel” scam. What’s this one all about? It’s not uncommon to chat with women that don’t live in your town. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with meeting women outside your area. There is something wrong with paying for travel expenses for a woman you’ve never met to come visit you. Most of these women are total scammers. She’ll take your money and never come see you. Never spend for travel expenses for any woman you’ve never met.
