Why didn’t we like True.com? We could go on and on about the many reasons, but we will condense it down to only our main issues with this alleged dating service website. True.com is one of those sites that makes big promises and creates an aesthetically pleasing website. Unfortunately, their promises are total BS and the aesthetically pleasing website is the only thing going for it.
A nice looking site is great, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to get a date. We didn’t. Because of that, we aren’t going to recommend the site to you. After all, isn’t that the whole point of online dating? True.com offers nothing more than a site that looks great. Too bad it’s a ripoff.
True.com Review: Our Results Using True.com
- 120 emails sent
- 18 replies received to our emails
- 0 dates confirmed
- Emails sent 1 per day for 2 months total between 2 guys
True.com is a ripoff cost-wise. It’s also a ripoff of dating sites such as eHarmony and Match. They attempted to copy their concept of matching the right singles together, but failed miserably in the process. Singles are not matched properly on True.com. We had a hard time finding women that we had much in common with and that led to such a low email response rate (15%).
A few of the women we chatted with were decent women that genuinely did want to find a boyfriend. But they admitted they were talking to quite a few other guys at the same time. That is very frustrating. When you have a lot of competition, you really have to be on your game and have it going on. Otherwise, she’ll pick another guy instead.
Why We Don’t Think You Should Join True.com
The very first girl we were able to chat with on Instant Messenger gave us some insight into how True.com operates. She admitted she liked our guy’s pic and was impressed with him overall. But she already had 3 dates scheduled for the next week with guys she met on True.com. She said that if things don’t go well with the other guys, he would be her backup plan.
Who wants to be a girl’s backup plan? Wouldn’t that make you feel worthless? It sure does to us. You should be one of her first options. There’s nothing wrong with dating a couple of guys at first until deciding on someone for a relationship, but to hell with being a replacement guy.
True.com Dating Service Review: Our Recommendation
You’ll be someone’s backup plan on True.com. That’s if you’re lucky. You might not even get any responses to your emails. Don’t even bother with True.com. It’s a mediocre dating services website that failed miserably at copying legitimate sites. Xpress, Match, eHarmony, Chemistry, and PerfectMatch are MUCH better options.
